Looking for a hands-on Summer opportunity where you can gain real-world IT experience, travel throughout Ohio, and work alongside experienced technology professionals? DataServ/xFact is seeking a motivated IT Field Technician to join our project team this Summer.

In this role, you’ll help install and maintain a wide range of technology solutions at customer locations across Ohio. From staging equipment at our Westlake headquarters to working onsite with engineers and customers, no two days are the same. If you enjoy working with technology, using tools, being on the move, and learning new skills, this could be a great fit for you.

No extensive experience? No problem. We provide hands-on training to help you build confidence with installations, equipment handling, and fieldwork.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with staging, setup, and installation of IT equipment
• Travel to customer sites across Ohio with the project team
• Transport equipment using a company vehicle
• Help install and mount equipment including:
  • Access points
  • Security cameras
  • Door access controls
  • Phones
  • Servers and network switches
• Work with power tools, ladders, and mounting equipment (training provided)
• Support engineers during customer deployments and projects
• Represent DataServ/xFact professionally with customers, vendors, and team members
• Participate in project and team meetings as needed

What We’re Looking For

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working hands-on with technology and tools
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay professional in fast-paced environments
• Willingness to travel throughout Ohio Monday–Friday, with occasional extended hours
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand/power tools and ladders
  • Previous experience is helpful, but not required
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with installations

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
